Email update from 1/22/2012

Hey Mom,
You're welcome. I'm still trying to find a p day to get to town and send my card. Yeah that's Kumasi. Haha but that's not what it looks like in town. It's crazy in town! and yeah thats at the baptism. We had a lot of our members show up.
Yeah the Bear creek soup is awesome. It tastes so good. Send more of anything that you think I will like. Cheddar broccoli sounds great.
The mission splitting is awesome. I hope that I stay in Kumasi. I want to say that I spent half my mission in Cape Coast mission and half in Kumasi mission.
Our week was ok. It was a slow week and right now were going out trying to find new people. So its a lot of just walking around talking to people. Tell Grandma Joanne and Grandma Kathy thank you and that i love them. I got grandma Kathy's package it was nice. and I've already made both packages of brownies they were sooooo good!
Haha sorry dad. Tell me what's going on and what happened.
Well its been a fast week with nothing much happening. I don't know what else to say. Tell me where Ryan is going when he gets his mission call. I think he's going to Argentina. Just a guess. But thats it. i love you!!!!!!!!!!!

Our Baptism was Sweet!

Hey Mom,
Haha yeah this week has gone by so fast its crazy. I hope that it keeps
moving like this. Our baptism was sweet. We had three there. Leticia,
Prince, and Agnes who is Samsons wife. It went well everyone was their on time.
All except our Branch President. It was cool. Asyeabua had 1 too so we
ended up with 4.
Haha yeah were keeping busy walking. Last week wasn't a good week for
appointments but it was ok. It seems like every other week is a good week,
we can never have two good weeks in a row. But it went by fast and was over
fast so it was a good week. ummm...right now were only teaching 1 family
and we've only met with them once so far. We met this kid named Prince
young and we went to go see him and his family was interested so we are
going to start teaching the whole family. There is 4 in his family so its
pretty cool.
Haha while your trudging through the snow  I'm running through the heat trying
to get to rainy season. right now it been really hot during the day. but at
night its freezing. I love that blanket that I brought. So the nights are
sweet but the days are miserable. But rainy season is coming its supposed
to start at the end of Febuary. I can't wait. It needs to rain so bad.
Everything is sooooo dusty. On our way to town today while we were in the
car our shirts got so dirty. They are tearing up the road on the way to
town so its really really really bad. My shirts are going to turn brown.
I haven't gotten Grandma kathy's package yet. I got her letter but not the package.
and I will make sure to send another letter to Grandma Sandy.
ummm..Right now I don't know whats happening. I don't know anything about if
im being transferred or what. I could stay. I could leave, I could stay with
Francom or I could get a new companion. We won't know untill Feb. 4th that's
when we wil get the call because transfers are on the 8th. But what I do
know is......get ready this is exciting.....in July the mission is
splitting!!! They are making a Kumasi mission. so they will split Cape
Coast in 2. So I might be in a new mission. If I stay in Kumasi I will be
in the Kumasi mission but if i go down to Cape Coast then I will stay. so
its pretty cool!
soooo thats all i got for this week. i love you!!!

Happy New Year!

Hey Mom!
Its 2012! Hey guess what Christ is coming! haha just kidding!
Christmas was awesome! That was probably the best Christmas present ever. I loved talking to everyone. I can't wait for Mothers day.
Haha yeah I remember Sis. Berry. Me and Elder Francom were walking down the street and she started yelling out of her truck. I thought she was one of the white hippies that we see around. She was really cool and her family is sweet. We talked for a little bit and then she took our numbers and said that she would call our moms. Haha that's you! haha calm? relaxed? confident? That's cool that she saw that much. Haha and Elder Francom was still shell shocked. He was so amazed that we got to talk to some obruni members in Africa. And yeah they have a shell gas station in Abuakwa with a lot of American food. It's just really expensive. So we dont go in there too often.
So the week has still been slow. They love New Years here. They have all night devotionals at their churches and they go crazy! But no fireworks;( So everyone is still on vacation and today was a holiday so it was quiet in town. No one works on holidays here. We're hoping that it picks up this week though, everyone will be going back to school and family is leaving so we will be able to see people! but now we have 7 people we are going to baptize on the 15th. Abuakwa and Asyeabua are doing a combine baptism so 4 companionships and our goal is twenty people. We all have the people they just need to be baptized.
I don't remember being in any pictures. The last one in on the activity was elder Aghama.....an african......ummm I dont think I'm that dark yet:!
hey!.........so I asked for a snowboard every Christmas since I was 5 and Carsen gets one now? what!!! haha just kidding. thats sweet. It'll be cool to come home and take him to Sunrise. Aahhhh fun in the snow. I want some pictures of that. Speaking of pictures. I tried to send them today but the stinkin' post office was closed! Another wasted trip to town.
Wait.... are you actually telling me that Jaren is reading? Christ is comming! Haha sweet keep it up Jaren! maybe you will graduate after all. ;)
Kadyn was quiet. She writes me more letters then anyone else and she doesn't talk to me on the phone? I love you kadybug,  PLEASE talk to me! But I'm glad that she likes the books. Those are some of my favorite. All of them are good though.
So I guess I'll go. I love you and miss you tons!!!  I'll see you in 19 months;)
Love,
Trevin
